* - These laps are included in all packages and are used to get the car warmed up and to get you comfortable with the car and up to speed quickly. EXAMPLE: If you purchase Green Flag package on a short track for 35 laps, the first 3 laps will be run as warm up and drills. Then 32 laps will be run under the green flag for a total of 35 laps.

RIDE A LONG WITH A PRO
Take a high-speed ride in the passenger seat of a race car driven by an Instructor. Great for people who are at the track to see someone else drive.

SIDE BY SIDE RIDE ALONG WITH A PRO
Ride Shotgun with one of our Instructors as he races side-by-side with another instructor!! This is as real as it gets, you’ll experience racing through the corners separated by less than 2 feet. You’ll pass another ride car and be passed coming off the corner, at our bigger racetracks you’ll even experience the draft!! Racing Ride-Alongs!! You’ll never forget it.

THE QUALIFIER
This class is for those who want to say "I did it!" You'll be on track for 8-10 laps, including your practice laps.

START YOUR ENGINES
This is the class for those who just want enough laps to really get up to speed on the track, about twice as much as comparably-priced classes elsewhere. 15 -20 laps.

GREEN FLAG
Drive for 25-35 laps. During the session the clock may be stopped for a mandatory pit stop, giving you a brief rest from the intensity of the track. In the pits the crew will bring water to you and quickly check your car. Before you know it, you're back on the track. Now you're really getting the feel of the car. Your speed is climbing and your lap times are dropping!

CHECKERED FLAG
Here you'll get 35-50 laps of driving plus two pit stops. This is a lot of driving at one time - longer than many actual races. If you want to know what your favorite stock car driver does you won't get any closer than this. When it's over you'll be ready for a celebration and eager to come back for more.

RACE DAY/SUPER RACE DAY
Available in a one day session, you'll get a minimum 50-70 laps of seat time, divided into three driving sessions. You'll spend the time between sessions working with your instructor, talking to the crew and observing other drivers. It's a typical day at the track for a race car driver. The lesson plan varies according to the student population, the track and track conditions. Activities can include one-on-one pursuit with an instructor, side-by-side running and race starts. Most of all, there's plenty of high speed driving.

RIDE & DRIVE
We strongly recommend going for a Ride-Along With A Pro before getting behind the wheel yourself. It will not only help you get comfortable in a racecar, but you'll have a better understanding of how the car operates and handles, get a feeling for the racing line while at speed, understand the G-Forces that will be put on your body (and the car), and see firsthand how fast the car can go on the straightaways and in the corners. After a Ride-Along, we find that students don't end up using their first few "green flag" laps getting themselves comfortable and up to speed. Plus, typically the students who do the Ride-Along first versus those who don’t will go 15 – 20% faster!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Racing School gives you professional, personal attention, top-notch instruction and lots of driving time. Our students typically drive more than at other schools offering similar programs, equipment and tracks.

You can take any racing program. The vast majority of students are first-timers, so you'll fit right in. No special skills are required to take a class other than the ability to operate a manual transmission.

Classes begin with a one-hour Drivers Meeting that covers instruction in driving techniques, safety procedures and everything else necessary to prepare you. The meeting begins with a narrated van ride around the track to show you the racing line and other track features and ends in the classroom. Then it's straight to your car! A crewmember buckles you in, checks your radio, and gives the thumbs up sign to your Instructor. You'll start your engine, hear that V8 roar, and pull onto the track!

All packages include drill & practice laps:
To get you comfortable and up to speed as quickly as possible.

Speed Track: 3 Laps

Speedway: 3 Laps

These laps are used to warm-up the racecar, and to get you comfortable and up to speed as quickly as possible. EXAMPLE: If you purchase Green Flag package for 26 laps, the first 4 laps will be run as warm up and drills. Then 22 laps will be run under the green flag for a total of 26 laps

All track time in minutes is guaranteed.
Lap counts are a very accurate estimate, but will vary based on track configuration and driver ability.

Qualifications:

All drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license (be sure to bring it to the track) to experience the thrill of driving a NASCAR racecar. If you’re a thrill seeker and would like to go for a ride-along or side-by-side with one of our pros, you must be at least 12 years of age. Purchases are transferable but not refundable.

Insurance:

For your protection, we offer insurance coverage for $69.00 to $99.00 that covers damage to the racecar, subject to a $1,200.00 deductible.

Reservations & Refunds:

All Packages are scheduled by appointment only. Less than 30 days of your scheduled date, the rescheduling fee is 50% of your original cost. More than 30 days of your scheduled date, the fee to reschedule is $50. Due to scheduling and track commitments, cancellations and rescheduling are not allowed within 7 days of your scheduled date. In the event of inclement weather, The Racing School will reschedule you at no additional cost. We reserve the right to cancel any classes due to lack of participation. In this event, The Racing School will reschedule you to a date and track of your choice. All rescheduled dates must be made within one year of your original scheduled date. n.

YOUR DAY AT THE TRACK

All of our classes start on the hour with small classes, no waiting for a racecar. You'll start with a ten-page handout and a one-hour orientation in a classroom setting.

Now it is on to pit road for your firesuit and helmet. We'll pick a racecar, buckle you in and you'll get the command to fire engines. After those 500 horses roar to life you'll proceed onto the track for your warm-up session that will last 8-10 mins. It will cover radio contact, passing, proper line, braking and acceleration points and lastly we'll scrub the tires and start building speed.

Then the command to go green will be given. The warm-up session is included in the track time and as you can see the green flag racing conditions can be anywhere from five minutes to two hours, depending on your budget and goals. Our larger packages are broken down into ten minute on track sessions.

You'll have a guaranteed amount of driving time. With multiple cars on the track, we prefer the simplicity and accuracy of this method to keeping track of your laps. It also helps your class stay on schedule for the convenience of you and your guests.
We've listed the number of laps that a typical student will complete in the time allowed. Shorter tracks usually allow more laps to be driven in a given amount of time than longer tracks. The number of laps you drive will depend on your speed, the length of the track and the lesson plan.
Longer classes give you more driving time or more advanced training for the money - a volume discount!

Purchases are transferable but not refundable.
