The
Racing School is proud to present SPEEDCAMP 2008, where
we take the basic principal of late model stock car racing
and offer it to those who have limited or even no experience
and prepare you to be ready to race in a feature in just 2
days! If you’ve
ever had that need for speed, watched it on television or
have been to see it at your local racetrack and thought to
yourself, “Hey I can do that”, this is your chance.
The
Racing School has condensed multiple years of experience into
2 days of intense training to provide you the amateur racecar
driver the opportunity to drive door handle to door handle
with a professional racecar driver in an actual race on proven
NASCAR racetracks. We
do limit the 2 day camp to just 8 students so that we can
have a 2 to 1 ratio of students to instructors.
This is the real deal, you will learn all the skills
you need to be fast and competitive in the art of short track
racing. You will
then be able to put your new skills to use racing against
other competitors. You will have approximately
300 laps over your 2 day adventure.
Day
1:
Classroom time, warm up
laps, high speed coaching laps, side by side drills, passing
techniques and learn to race race with the instructors.
Day
2:
Classroom review, warm
up laps, coaching laps, high speed side by side, a heat race
and then your feature race.
***We
provide all the equipment necessary for you to race.
Helmets, in-car radio communication, fire suit, and
more…
(Personal racing equipment allowed upon inspection)
Our
advanced school also provides the amateur racecar driver the
opportunity to learn the track’s driving line, car control,
side by side racing, how to pass, completing the pass and the limits of the car
and driver. This
school is done in half and full day increments.

The
Lakeland dates are the week of the Daytona 500 and what a
better way to bring in the racing season than by coming out
to drive a racecar for the day!
